Welcome to our webinar archives. The California Department of Education (CDE) and the State Transformational Assistance Center (S-TAC) invite you to view the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) six part webinar series focused on Coherence and Sustainability.
Each session brings together educators, community partners, and leaders from across the state to explore how aligned systems and collaborative practices can strengthen support for students and families. Through shared learning, real-world examples, and discussion, we’ll highlight strategies for sustaining the vision of community schools—where every student is known, supported, and thriving.
September 2, 2025: Expanded Learning
Discover how Community Schools and Expanded Learning programs can work together to create lasting impact. In this session, we explore goals and core components, highlight opportunities for collaboration, and share practical strategies for sustainability, including funding approaches. October 7, 2025: Local Control & Accountability (LCAP)
Explore how Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs) and School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs) can align with the Community Schools framework. Learn from local educational agencies about strategies for alignment and sustainability, engage in discussions to share insights, and discover tools to strengthen planning efforts. November 4, 2025: McKinney-Vento Homeless Education
This session explores how McKinney-Vento Homeless Education goals align with the Community Schools strategy to create more coordinated, sustainable systems of support for California’s most vulnerable youth. Participants will learn from state and local leaders— including Wheatland Union High School District’s Safe Harbor Program—about effective collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and strategies for braiding resources to promote long-term impact. February 3, 2026: Early Education
This session focuses on alignment between early education and community schools to support long-term, whole-child outcomes. Presenters from the California Department of Education, Vista and Morongo Unified share how Universal Prekindergarten (UPK), inclusive early learning, and P–3 alignment connect to the Community Schools Framework. March 3, 2026: Special Education
This session explores how special education and the community schools strategy can align to support inclusive, coordinated systems for students with disabilities. Presenters from the California Department of Education, the Ontario-Montclair School District, and Anaheim Union High School District share how integrated supports, family engagement, and cross-grade collaboration create coherent pathways from elementary school through postsecondary transition.
